2012 State of Origin 3 Odds and Tips

by admin on July 3, 2012

The below is a guest post from Luxbet’s very own Neil Evans. Luxbet will have a record number of State of Origin Match, Player & Exotic Markets for Origin III and if you aren’t already a member, join today and Luxbet will also match your first deposit up to a massive $250.

STATE OF ORIGIN 3 – THE DECIDER with Luxbet’s Neil Evans

Inspired by the gap in the market, punters on Luxbet have charged into the NSW Blues finally breaking Qld’s generational dominance in tomorrow night’s blockbuster Origin 3 showdown at Suncorp!

Luxbet’s Neil Evans said the money had been dominant for the Blues in the last 24 hours, firming from a high $2.45 back into $2.25 after the Maroons strangled the early money! “Qld got into as short as $1.57 before easing back out now to $1.67. They’re loading up now on the Blues’ value, including a recent bet of $17,000.00 at $2.35, as well as several $1k, $2k and $2.5K three and four-leg multi bets – all involving NSW – to win anywhere between $30,000.00 and $50,000.00,” Evans said.

He added the bookmaker was “way ahead of target& rdquo; to write a record number of match bets in Origin history!

And while NSW captain courageous Paul Gallen remains a well-backed $6.50 equal second favourite for Player of the Match honours, one Luxbet punter has tipped an Anthony Watmough special backing him at $21.00 to win nearly $6,000.00!

“The money has also been strong for Greg Inglis to explode in the decider, firming him into co-favourite with perennial spark Jonathan Thurston at $6.00!

Evans said it would be intriguing how close NSW get to Qld in head-to-head betting, although the Maroons are “still on track” to go in a narrow favourite!

The guessing game is still simmering whether the Maroons will make a late backline shuffle-up and promote Matt Bowen to fullback, and leave centre Dane Nielsen out, although on face value, this surely would be “unlikely!”

• Meanwhile, Manly ($6.00 into $5.75) continue to close the gap on Mel bourne ($3.60 out to $3.65) in NRL premiership betting!

Back a team in the Origin III head to head market and if they win by 13 points or more, Luxbet will match your stake with a Bonus Bet of up to $200*
